E-Forms Management Delivers Clinical Efficiency
Before implementing PFS, Laughlin Memorial’s admissions process was time-consuming for patients and staff members. When a patient came to the registration desk, a clerk manually retrieved forms based on the type of admission.
Now, after registering a patient in the HIS, the clerk selects the registration type in the Access PFS system and prints a customized forms packet with a single click.
When Laughlin Memorial’s HIS is down for scheduled maintenance, Access’s e-Forms Repository (EFR) enables clerks to register patients electronically, instead of handwriting patient information on forms.
On clinical floors, nurses print forms from Access’s e-Forms Repository (EFR) with barcodes and demographics already on them, helping speed clinical processes and reduce delays associated with paper forms processing.
