Our Order-Based Workflow is another way Access saves clinicians time. Prior to a procedure, a surgeon places an order inside their existing EMR. This action triggers the Access system to automatically generate the correct Informed Consent.

But our solution doesn’t stop there. It also grabs the relevant procedural content from our cloud-hosted repository and pairs it with the electronic Informed Consent. The clinician no longer has to write this information by hand. The eForms can then be presented to a patient on a tablet for their digital signature.

The procedural content is peer-reviewed and based on best practices. Plus, it’s housed on a cloud-based service so quarterly updates are automatically made, which lets hospitals avoid the downtime of an IT update.

The procedural content system provides another important perk for clinicians: the ability to customize. A surgeon may want to include info on the Informed Consent that’s tailored to a patient’s needs. For times like these, there’s a blank “Notes” section where surgeons can add specific patient info, while ensuring all other procedural content is consistent with what’s shared across the hospital.

Patients: read, scroll and sign

When it comes to a winning formula, an eSignature solution must be easy for patients to use, too. With our technology, patients can read, scroll and sign all eForms on one tablet. They don’t have to shuffle through multiple paper forms and jump to a separate LCD screen to provide their signature.

Another important benefit our eSignature solutions offer is they minimize the risk of a delayed medical procedure.

A surgery is understandably stressful regardless of how “minor” it may be. Being told their procedure is delayed due to missing paperwork doesn’t do much to boost a patient’s confidence or overall satisfaction with the hospital.

With a paperless solution, though, the necessary forms and signatures are all digitally captured, eliminating the chance of a delayed procedure due to missing paperwork.
