11th Hour, 11th Day, 11th Month: A Veterans Day Thank You

You’ve probably once read that at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the fighting of WW1 ended in 1918. The significance of the sacrifice made in “The War to End All Wars” was apparent to all and this day became known as “Armistice Day,” on which we are to honor the service of all the veterans of that war. In 1954, it was renamed Veterans Day.

A Weekend To Remember

While Memorial Day may seem like just an extra day off from work or reason to BBQ, for me and many other veterans, it’s a solemn and revered holiday to remember the fallen brothers and sisters with whom we once served.
