Woman's Hospital has deployed Access eForms eSignature Platform Solution for paperless & contactless patient intake in the hospital, or remotely on patient devices at home or in the car. The ability to create a paperless environment within the hospital will streamline patient throughput, save hard costs due to paper and scanning, and improve the patient experience through a more accurate and seamless intake process. The ability to extend patient forms outside of the hospital on patient devices will allow Woman's Hospital to safely control patient throughput for instances when patient exposure is a risk, and to allow check-ins ahead of a visit.

Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is a specialty hospital for women and infants with more than 50 years of providing women the support and state-of-the-art medical services they deserve – all in a caring, comforting environment. Since opening in 1968, Woman’s has welcomed more than 350,000 babies, making it one of the largest delivery services in the country and the largest in Louisiana. 

In addition to 168 adult beds, Woman’s Hospital operates a level III-S neonatal intensive care unit with 84 beds. This designation allows them to care for infants who are extremely premature, are critically ill, or require surgical intervention. The Meditech hospital will be deploying Access eForms Impression Solution in the coming months. Utilizing our Impression Solution will allow Woman’s Hospital to extend forms to patients outside of their hospital creating a contactless process that is not only safer and faster but provides a better overall patient experience. The ability to extend electronic forms to patients outside of the hospital in advance of their visit will allow Women’s Hospital to provide a better patient intake experience and save approximately 775,000 pieces of paper by converting from a paper-based process. Access’s Passport Solution gives patients the ability to electronically sign all their necessary forms in the comfort of their own home in advance of their appointment. Allowing a patient to complete all necessary forms in advance of their visit drastically decreases the time they spend in the waiting room.
